Leafleting and Informational Event on South Korean Dog Meat Trade – March 27, 2016 – San Francisco, Fisherman’s Wharf

A big thank you goes out to the volunteers who came out yesterday to give a voice to the Korean dogs!!! Your compassion and dedication is truly appreciated. It was an all Asian team yesterday represented by Kit, Mabel, Bobby, Suzanne, Martina and her mom, Inah, and Giny. It was especially nice to have Korean volunteers at the event. Martina, her mom, and Inah are family and they are Koreans. After helping us the they took some petition signature collection sheets and leaflets to hand them out at their next destination. We collected 386 petition signatures and handed out over 1000 leaflets. We also received small donations in total of $8 which we will donate to Nami Kim and her team in South Korea. It was an another great day at the famous San Francisco Fisherman’s Wharf with lots of tourists and visitors from all around the world. We saw lot of tourists from South Korea too. An elderly couple from Seoul with a Korean tour group was very kind to express their thanks for our work and took our leaflets to pass them out to fellow tourist in their group. There was also a couple who said they work for Samsung and were upset that we had the Samsung logo on our Boycott poster. They took videos and photos of us and said that they would report us to their company. However, we have the right to use their company logo on our posters as a form of protest. It’s our first amendment constitutional right (right to free speech). Everyone can do something to bring change. What will you do today?

Anyone can take action to give a voice to the Korean dogs. If you live in the US and would like to organize an event in your city or simply want to hand out our leaflets to your friends, family, and neighbors, contact us and we would be happy to send you our campaign leaflets absolutely free. Campaign materials can also be sent outside the US, but at this time free shipping is available only to US residents due to the high cost of shipping to other countries. Please accept our apologies and our thanks!
