Our campaign is in the news again!
Your comments requested by the City of Davis
about their Sister City relationship with Sangju.

Our Sister City Campaign is in the news again. The Davis Vanguard has published a Guest Commentary written by the Mayor Pro Tempore of Davis, California, Mr. Brett Lee.

In this commentary, he talks about our Sister City Campaign calling for Davis to take action to urge their Sister City, Sangju in So. Korea, to stop the illegal dog meat trade. He has recruited help from a friend to analyze the issue from an objective point of view and provide recommendations on the course of action.

He is also requesting your opinion on this issue. Please post a comment, thanking Mr. Lee for writing about our campaign and ask him to contact his Sister City to urge them to ban the illegal dog meat industry. The more feedback he receives from us, the more he will be inclined to help and support our campaign. In the commentary, he said, “FYI – My inclination is to support Sangju as a sister city, but to officially express my concerns about the treatment of dogs.” Your voice can help him make the decision to help the Korean dogs. Call for Action:
Illegal puppy mill/dog farm in Nonsan, Deokpyeong-ri.

We saw another tragic news story yesterday reporting a fire at a dog farm in Ulsan Ulju-gun, South Korea. All 50 of their caged dogs were burnt to death.

This happens all too often in South Korea and it breaks our hearts to hear about it, but if we don’t take action, this will never end. South Korea will not change without strong pressure from within their country as well as from outside.  Click HERE for the Korean news.

울산 개 사육장서 불… 애완견 50여 마리 죽어

In Nonsan, South Korea, there is a puppy mill/farm operating illegally and we would like the City of Nonsan to take action to close it down. This place, in Chungcheongnam-do, Nonsan-si, Bujeok-myeon Deokpyeong-ri 21-14, breeds dogs for pets and also for meat. Their dogs, of various breeds and sizes, are kept in deplorable conditions, and the immense suffering which they are forced to endure is beyond imagination. When any of their dogs become too old or sick to produce litters for the pet trade, the operators get rid of them by selling them on to the dog-meat industry.

We are asking the City of Nonsan to take immediate action to close this place down immediately and permanently, impose fine for the violations and rescue all the dogs in this farm and provide them with opportunity to be adopted to loving and caring homes. Please file an online petition with the Korean government using their official petition site, e-people.
