A New Beginning for the Animals: CARE Adoption Center’s Big Move 🚚
Sharing for Coexistence of Animal Rights on Earth (CARE)
Relocation day to the new RUN Adoption Center in Paju.
December 2025
At CARE (Coexistence of Animal Rights on Earth), we’ve been fighting to protect animals from the forces that try to tear down everything we’ve built. Our mission is to provide a safe and loving space for rescued animals, and despite facing countless obstacles, we’ve never wavered in our commitment. But now, we’re at a critical juncture: the CARE Adoption Center, which has been serving the animals in Hwaseong for the past four years, is closing. We need your support to move to a new, better space where we can continue our work without compromise.
The Struggles We Face
Due to persistent and malicious complaints from a small but vocal group of so-called animal activists, our current adoption center has been forced to shut down. These groups don’t care about the welfare of the animals—they’re solely focused on shutting down private shelters like ours. They don’t target the real issues, such as puppy mills or breeding farms; instead, they attack the shelters that work tirelessly to rescue and protect animals.
Our center, the RUN Adoption Center, was a home for many animals, where they had space to run and play. But now, due to complaints and the building owner’s decision to sell, we’re being forced to leave. What’s worse, some of these complainers even attempted to remove the exercise pens, which were vital for the animals to get exercise and play freely.
Despite the pressure, we’ve always stood strong, protected by the support of people like you. Thanks to your generosity, we’ve been able to save and care for more animals than we could have ever imagined. But the struggle isn’t over. Some still want to silence us, to destroy the spaces that give rescued animals a second chance at life.
A New Hope: The Move to Paju 🚚
But we won’t give up. We’ve already secured a larger, better space in Paju, near Yellow Dog Shelter, and we’re working around the clock to prepare it. This new center will be more spacious and comfortable for the animals. It will provide a more free and open environment for them to run, play, and socialize—just like they deserve. Volunteers will also find it easier to visit and help the animals.
Tomorrow, we’ll be moving the animals to their new home. It’s a bittersweet moment as they leave the space they’ve known, but we know this move will open up a new chapter for them, where they will have more room to grow and heal.
Meet Kanggi: A Survivor Who Needs Your Help
Among the animals we’ve rescued is a special dog named Kanggi. Kanggi was found in the aftermath of a forest fire, burned and left to die. But after 50 days of intense treatment, he made a miraculous recovery. His face, eyes, legs, and paws were all severely burned, but now Kanggi is healing and living in the adoption center.
However, his journey isn’t over. Kanggi still needs training to help him trust humans again and learn how to socialize properly. It will take time, patience, and a lot of care—but with your help, Kanggi and many other animals can have the future they deserve.
Right now, Kanggi needs a new kennel. His current one is old and rusty, and we want to replace it with a new, safe space for him. Each new kennel costs $240 USD, and we need your help to provide Kanggi and other animals with the care they need.

After being trapped and tied to his doghouse during a forest fire deep in the mountains, Kanggi survived. Please celebrate his discharge from the hospital.
