Animal Rescue Korea 119’s journey to shut down the dog meat industry has now ended

Sharing for: Animal Rescue Korea 119 (ARK119).

It’s sad but, the journey to shut down the dog meat industry has now ended.
We will now return to our regular rescue mission but our pursuit to shut down dog slaughterhouses will continue.
During our journey to shut down the dog meat industry, we filed civil complaints for about 10 dog farms, shut down 3 dog slaughterhouses, and rescued 8 dogs. The 26 dogs from the slaughterhouse in Bucheon escaped death and entered the Bucheon City Shelter. We will try to help the dogs at risk of slaughter by finding homes that will adopt them.
We also rescued a mentally- disabled man who had been a slave at the devil’s den at a dog farm in Ganghwa-do and brought him to a welfare center for help.
I wanted to shut down more dog slaughterhouses, but it was a bit disappointing because the working hours and access to the location were not easy.
We will try to alleviate the disappointment by shutting down one dog slaughterhouse a month.
The stopping of dog consumption campaign and activity will continue.

Thank you for your corageous and noble work! Sending much love from Canada! I sent letters to South Korea when I heard about this, to Samsung, LG, and Hyundai to get them involved in ending this horrible atrocity.
