CARE: The dog who was never loved

Sharing for Coexistence of Animal Rights on Earth (CARE)

The Dog Who Was Never Loved
Alone for 3 Years with a Single Tree as a Companion – We named him “Da-an” (Noble Eyes).

How long those years must have felt? It is said that one human year equals seven dog years. After being abandoned, Da-an was left under a tree, only to be abandoned again and returned to the same tree. He spent an additional three years there. So, by human standards, Da-an must have endured at least 30 years, slowly aging and alone with just a single tree for companionship.

He had also lost his eyesight and had never had a roof to shield him from the rain. Due to a lack of exercise and nutrition, he sometimes collapses while walking because he is so weak. Heavy rain fell through the night; he would have endured it alone if we had not rescued him yesterday.

Da-an had felt every drop of rain, the summer monsoon, snowstorms, typhoons, heat waves, and extreme cold with his entire body. He not only survived but also endured the pain and monotony of more than 30 human years.

A dog who had never been loved by anyone, Da-an now needs us to provide the love he had been denied, even if only for a short time.

Please consider becoming Da-an’s sponsor. We wish to be able to have cataract surgery for him. Adoption seems unlikely. We would appreciate any one-time donations, as well.

For Da-an’s remaining life, we are seeking 1:1 sponsorship with a monthly contribution of 30,000 won (USD $23) from 20 or more donors. This ongoing support is crucial for ensuring Da-an’s long-term care and well-being.
Thank you.

He is a husky…he looks like my little girl whom just passed away at almost 15 years old, except she was rescued by us, and lived most of her life in total comfort! Is he well now, does he have a home or at least a recue? Is he availabel to adopt?

Dear Sue, Daan has passed away. Da-an spent three agonizing years tied to a tree, enduring harsh weather, malnutrition, and blindness with no love or shelter, until he was finally rescued—too late to regain his health but given a chance to experience kindness. Despite medical care and a brief time in a safe space, he passed away, leaving behind a heartbreaking reminder of the cruelty animals endure and a plea for compassion toward all sentient beings. That is just DREADFUL. The POOR POOR CREATURE who had never done anything to deserve that treatment. It makes me weep. How could he have been there for 3 years before anyone took pity on him?

I’m utterly disgusted at South Korea and its vicious, unethical laws towards Dog’s! There are still many Dog meat farms working even though the law was ammend to have all Dog farms closed down, so why are the authorities turning a blind eye to those breaking the law whilst innocent Dog’s are living in utter squalor, fed inedible food, lack of fresh water, cramped in rusty old cages that pierce their delicate skin and paws. Not too mention these poor dogs have to witness other dogs being brutality handled, often breaking many limbs, and other bones, or cuts caused whilst being rammed into small cages for someone’s dinner..!! There is nothing civilised about the whole situation upon man’s best friend. The fact people are still chaining dogs knowing the consequences if a wild fire starts, as the owners have no intention of releasing them or free them from those cruel, chains that keep them a prisoner everyday instead of a loving home pet or out daily with their owners then back to the house as it should be. Strong laws must be implemented, especially towards all those that could have saved their dog rather then still be extremely cruel by deliberately harming these most loyal of animals, then allowing them to burn alive ! How is that a modern day ,well educated, caring and morally correct? No animal should suffer from negligence being tethered for life, as I don’t understand as too why these vile people get a dog in the first place if not to love it and receive so much love and affection in return? Everybody has a responsibility towards their families and the pets they have acquired, not just to save their own immoral lives !!
