🔥 40 Dogs Rescued from a Stalled Car in 104°F Heat – A Mission of Survival

Sharing for Coexistence of Animal Rights on Earth (CARE)

In the scorching heat of Jinhae District in Changwon, 40 Poodles were found trapped inside a non-functioning van. The engine had been turned off. Though the windows were slightly cracked, the suffocating heat inside had risen to nearly 40°C (104°F). With no shade, no airflow, and no way out, the dogs—many just weeks old—were quietly dying.

Initially reported as 33, the number of dogs had grown to 40 by the time rescuers arrived. Some were tiny puppies, others adults, all entangled in desperation. One puppy had already died from a burst lung before help could reach them.

CARE had no more resources—no space, no funding, no energy. But we had to act. We simply could not stand by and watch these lives vanish inside that sweltering metal box.

For over four hours, CARE volunteers stood under the brutal sun alongside public officials from Changwon, members of the organization Animal Love Nest, and staff from Anseong Mirae Animal Hospital. The owner refused to relinquish the dogs, insisting, “I can’t live without them.” But this was a place where no one—human or animal—could survive.

Eventually, after extended negotiations and confirmation of animal welfare violations, the owner surrendered. Every single dog was rescued.

Animal Love Nest took in 10 dogs. Anseong Mirae took 5. CARE brought the remaining 25 to safety—including Janggun (meaning “General”), a disabled dog believed to have cerebral palsy, who had somehow survived inside the stifling van despite his inability to walk.

These dogs now urgently need foster care, medical treatment, and nutritious food. Some are stable enough to be placed into foster homes following veterinary evaluation. All of them deserve a second chance at life.

🆘 How You Can Help

  • Offer to foster one of the rescued dogs
  • Donate toward food, shelter, and veterinary care
  • Sponsor a dog like Janggun, who may require lifelong support
  • Share this story—just one share could help save a life

We remember Pyeongtaek—59 dogs used for grooming practice, all rescued. Every one adopted or fostered. We achieved the impossible then—we can do it again.

🌟 Please, be their guardian. Help them heal. Help them live.

💗 To donate to Coexistence of Animal Rights on Earth (CARE), the best option is to contribute directly to them. However, we have set up a GoFundMe page for those who prefer an alternative where you can donate and share with your friends and family. Rest assured, 100% of the funds raised on GoFundMe will be donated to CARE. (South Korea is not on the list of Countries supported on GoFundMe, so KoreanDogs.org is raising money for CARE instead.) 👉 GoFundMe Link: https://gofund.me/d483838d
