○ 정부는 지난해 12월 9일 개 식용 문제 논의를 위해 민관합동으로「개 식용 문제 논의를 위한 위원회」를 공식 출범하였으며 올해 6월까지 개 식용 종식과 관련된 주요 사항을 논의해 나갈 것입니다.

○ 정부는 관계부처 합동으로 개 식용과 관련한 현황조사와 개 식용 관련 대국민 인식조사 등을 실시하였고 이를 바탕으로 개 식용 문제 해결을 위한 구체적인 방법과 절차 등에 대해 논의하고 있습니다.

Results 1. Hello. Thank you for your interest in the work of the Ministry of Agriculture Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA). Here is the answer to your complaint to the MADRA.
2. We understand the complaint as an ‘inquiry related to dog meat issues’.
3. The review opinion is as follows:
○ On December 9, 2021, the government has officially launched the 「Committee for the discussion of dog meat issues」 jointly with the public and private sectors to discuss the dog meat issues. We are continuing to discuss the main points related to the end of dog meat by June this year.

○ The government conducted a survey on the current status of dog meat jointly with the related ministries and public awareness survey regarding dog meat. We are discussing specific measures and procedures to solve the dog meat issues based on the results.
