Results 1. Hello. This is the result of our review on the civil petition you have filed through e-People. Your petition is understood to be a ‘a request to ban dog meat’.
2. Currently, we have not found any cases of collecting or transporting food waste without permission and feeding dogs on it and we prohibit those actions as it may cause an infectious disease. There are no unauthorized slaughterhouses and there are no places that display and sell dog meat in traditional markets. Although there are dog meat restaurants, there are no related laws under the current law that can impose administrative restrictions on their business activities. However, we plan to strictly crack down on businesses that sell dog meat with unknown sources after consulting with the relevant departments.
