[Call for Action] More Puppy Mills in Korea? | Upcoming Demos
South Korea – Reconsider your proposals to expand and incentivise the inhumane puppy mill industry!
South Korea is planning to expand its already booming puppy mill industry. We are asking you to help bring about an immediate u-turn on these plans and to stop the cycle of horrific abuse and neglect suffered by these innocent dogs and puppies born into such horrendous conditions.
Please call on the Korean government to act and to listen to public opinion by signing our online petition . You can also help by writing directly to president Geun-hye Park, we have a suggested message you can use which you can add your own words to. Let’s show them how strong our voices can be!

Dog consumption peaks especially during Boknal, the Korean “dog days of summer,” when eating dog meat is ritualized. This year, three Boknal days – considered the hottest days of summer – are July 17 (Chobok, the beginning of summer), July 27 (Joongbok, mid-summer), and August 16 (Malbok, the end of summer).
Please join the animal rights activists worldwide in voicing our disgust at the South Korean government’s indifference in allowing this senseless barbaric trade to continue and help us raise awareness about the horrendous suffering inflicted upon our best and most loyal friends – the dogs and cats with whom we share our homes and our lives.
