💔 CARE’s Grim Discovery: Agony in the Ashes – Burned Dogs Found

Sharing for Coexistence of Animal Rights on Earth (CARE)

CARE has come to a heartbreaking realization.

Some dogs, known as “nureongi” (yellow/mixed breed dogs), ran all the way to the mountain summit only to perish in the fire.

With 20 years of experience in wildfire disaster relief, CARE continues its relentless search for those who escaped the charred dog meat farm.

Last weekend, we resumed the arduous search, ascending to the mountain’s peak—a remote place with no signal and treacherous, steep terrain. It was an unmarked, perilous path where a single misstep could send you tumbling down the unforgiving slope.

Nureongi typically don’t climb such steep inclines. Confined to raised wire cages their entire lives, their long legs and underdeveloped muscles make navigating such terrain incredibly difficult.

After a grueling climb and persistent search, we were met with a devastating sight: the charred remains of a nureongi. Its face was grotesquely distorted by the fire, and burns ravaged all its legs, belly, and even the delicate soles of its paws. It must have run frantically, driven by sheer terror, to escape the inferno—through suffocating smoke and searing heat, desperately weaving between trees consumed by flames, climbing and leaping in a desperate fight for survival. Having finally reached the summit, it tragically slipped. Its belly was impaled on a jagged, broken tree stump, and it died there, bleeding out in that desolate place.

The area is littered with sharp, broken tree stumps—silent witnesses to the widespread suffering. Not only the nureongi but countless wild animals likely met the same horrific fate.

We cannot undo the lonely and agonizing death of this dog. But CARE will respond by completely shutting down this cruel dog farm and rescuing and treating the survivors who managed to escape its horrors.

The mountain was too high, and the journey was too arduous to bring a single flower to honor this dog’s life. Please take a moment to pray for this pitiful soul to rest in peace finally.

💗 To donate to Coexistence of Animal Rights on Earth (CARE), the best option is to contribute directly to them. However, we have set up a GoFundMe page for those who prefer an alternative where you can donate and share with your friends and family. Rest assured, 100% of the funds raised on GoFundMe will be donated to CARE. (South Korea is not on the list of Countries supported on GoFundMe, so KoreanDogs.org is raising money for CARE instead.) 👉 GoFundMe Link: https://gofund.me/d483838d
