정부는 지난해 12월 9일 개 식용 문제 논의를 위해 민관합동으로 「개 식용 문제 논의를 위한 위원회」를 공식 출범하였으며, 금년 6월까지 개 식용 종식과 관련된 주요 사항을 논의해 나갈 것입니다. 나아가, 사각지대에 놓여있는 관련 제도도 함께 개선해 나가고자 합니다.감사합니다. 끝.
