Sharing for Coexistence of Animal Rights on Earth (CARE)/Watchdog

RUN Rescue Dog Park is an adoption center that serves as a temporary home for rescue dogs as they prepare for overseas adoption. Despite our dedicated activists’ efforts, helping these dogs overcome their past traumas and reestablish trust in human relationships is not easy. But still, we sent 179 dogs to loving homes through RUN last year. To provide them with the second chance they deserve, many dedicated activists and volunteers have worked tirelessly to help rescued dogs with the trauma of abuse or near-slaughter.

We face ongoing difficulties in our mission to rescue and rehome these dogs. Currently, our group is responsible for protecting over 800 dogs, with approximately 250 in foster centers, which costs us approximately 16 to 17 million won monthly, and the rest residing in shelters under our direct management. These shelters are, in fact, illegal facilities under the current legal system, just as any other animal shelters in Korea are. Unfortunately, our organization has faced malicious attempts by the Dog Meat Farmer’s Trade Association and rival animal rights groups who seek to undermine our efforts. They have colluded to target our shelters’ legality, file complaints, and spread false accusations and malicious claims. We deeply deplore those who seek to discredit and sabotage our efforts.

In the face of these challenges, we need passionate and trustworthy volunteers to join us at our adoption center and shelters under our direct management. Any individuals with a trustworthy background can join us as volunteers at our other shelters. RUN center is one of a few legal facilities we operate, and we are open to accepting volunteer applications 365 days a year. 화성에 있는, 입양을 위한 구조견들의 공원 같은 공간.
얼마 전 도살장에서 구조되어 쇠약해 진 몸으로 토모가 와 있기도 하지요.
런은 입양을 갈 가능성이 있는, 그리고 울진 산불 구조견들 중 입양을 갈 수 있는 성격의 구조견들이 집 찾으러 가는 여정 중 마지막 준비를 하는 곳입니다. 사회성을 길러주도록 환경을 조성하고 여러 건강 상태 등을 체크하고 있습니다. RUN 과 함께 지난 1년 동안 케어가 입양을 보낸 수는 179명입니다.
RUN 은 어려운 여건 속에서도 한 아이라도 입양 보내기 위해 알뜰히 준비한 임대 공간입니다. 여러분들이 많이 오시고 도와 주셔서 케어가 보호하고 있는 아이들이 새로운 기회를 갖고, 보호소에서 대기하고 있는 아이들이 RUN에 차례로 올 수 있길 바랍니다.
케어는 직영 보호소와 유료 위탁을 맡긴 위탁처들의 구조견들까지 약 800명을 안고 있습니다. 유료 위탁 보호소 여러 곳에 약 250명이 보호되고 있고 한 달 1600~1700만원 정도의 위탁비를 지불하고 있습니다. 위탁보호소는 케어 직영이 아니기에 케어에서 봉사자를 따로 받지 않고 있고 케어 직영 보호소는 소위 동물권 내 사람들이 육견협회와 결탁까지 하면서 몰래 악의적인 목적으로 보호소 철거 민원을 반복적으로 넣고 공무원들을 상대로 협박까지 하고 있기에 조심스럽지만 신원이 확실한 분들은 케어 활동가들이 보호소에 가는 날을 정해 함께 봉사하실 수 있습니다. 문의는 케어 메일이나 사무국으로 해 주세요.
RUN 은 365일 봉사신청을 받습니다. 맞습니다. 케어와 관계된 아이들이 있는 곳 중 RUN 만 합법적인 시설이고 나머지 아이들이 있는 곳은 농지 등과 관련 법률 위반입니다. 대한민국 사설 보호소 99퍼센트가 당면한 문제입니다. 와치독이 개농장을 이러한 법으로 없애는 것은 도살되는 개들을 줄이고 개식용산업을 무너뜨리고자 하는 동물권 활동이지만 구조된 개들이 있는 가난한 보호소들을 같은 법으로 없애자고 왜곡, 날조하고 숨어서 공격하는 소위 동물활동가들은 누구의 편입니까. 와치독이 개농장을 없애는 법으로 케어 보호소를 민원 넣으면 어떻게 될 것 같냐는 조롱투의 글을 올리는 활동가들은 대체 누구의 편에 서 있는 것입니까.
