[답변내용] : 안녕하십니까? 우리 구정에 많은 관심을 가지고 의견을 주신 데 대하여 감사드립니다. 귀하께서 국민신문고로 접수하신 의견에 대해서는 잘 읽어보았습니다.
우리나라에서는 동물보호법에 의거하여 목을 매다는 등의 잔인한 방법으로 죽이는 행위, 다른 동물이 보는 앞에서 죽이는 행위 및 정당한 사유없이 죽이는 행위를 엄격히 금지하고, 이를 위반 할 때에는 2년 이하의 징역 또는 2천만원 이하의 벌금에 처하도록 규정하고 있습니다.
현재 우리구에는 식용을 목적으로 하는 개농장이나 개도축장이 없으며, 이에 해당하는 행위가 관내에서 발생할 경우 법적 기준에 따라 엄중한 조치를 취하도록 하겠습니다.

Thank you for your interest in the administration of our district and for sending us your suggestion. We have read the petition you submitted through e-People portal.
In Korea, the Animal Protection Act strictly prohibits killing animals in a cruel manner such as hanging animals by the neck, killing in front of other animals, and killing without justifiable reason. Any individual found to have violated this law will be subject to 2-year imprisonment or fine of up to KRW 20 million.
At present, there are no dog farms or dog slaughterhouses for producing dog meat for human consumption in our district. If such businesses are found to be operating in our district, we shall deal with them strictly in accordance with our laws.
