San Francisco, Fisherman’s Wharf Leafleting Event – August 18, 2018
Saturday was another awesome day at the famous San Francisco Fisherman’s Wharf. We had lots of great conversations with the many visitors to the Wharf, raising awareness of our cause with the general public and collecting many petition signatures. We are grateful to the dedicated volunteers: Alicia, Don, Willow (rescued by SaveKoreanDogs.org), Heather, Ruby, Wendy and her fur babies Friday & Charlie Brown, and Kaylen and his fur baby Rocket. Charlie Brown and Willow were both rescued from the Korean Dog Meat farms. Their presence at the leafleting, along with that of Friday and Rocket, helped visitors to better visualize just how cruel and heartless this barbaric industry is and how critical it is to save these poor animals from such a gruesome fate.
We met many tourists and visitors from all over the world, many of whom were from South Korea. 633 people had gladly signed our petition because they wanted to help these poor dogs. Thank you to all the petition signers!! Tens of thousands of people saw our event and display, and for the first time, learned about the horrific cruelty taking place in South Korea. We are also grateful to the Port Authority, Fisherman’s Wharf Ambassadors and the San Francisco police department for their support and keeping us safe!
Every leaflet, every conversation helps. So, it really shows that everyone can do a little something to bring about change. What will you do today? Click HERE for What You Can Do.
