Anseong & Gwangju | More lives saved by Nami Kim and her team

Sister City Campaign – Anseong, South Korea – Brea, California

Brea, California became Sister city to South Korea’s Anseong (Gyeonggi-do) in 2011.

Yet Anseong, South Korea is responsible for the ongoing horrendous torture and killing of dogs and cats. Anseong is one of the largest dog meat consumption areas as well as one of the largest dog meat supplier cities in South Korea. We are calling for the City of Brea, California, Sister City to Anseong, to speak out against Anseong’s horrendous cruelty.

More hard work – more lives saved: 5 more dogs rescued from an Incheon Munhak-dong dog farm by Nami Kim and her Team

Sharing from Nami Kim and her team.

On April 5, 2016, Nami Kim and her wonderful Team negotiated for and rescued some more dogs from one of the Munhak-dong dog farms, in Incheon, South Korea. They turned out to be a mixed bunch, as one of them is more than likely a stolen pet, and one is an unusual breed, which the Team has not come across before.

Sample message:

Imagine your Korea ~ where NO dogs (or cats) of any breed are: being bred, electrocuted, hanged, beaten, having their throats slashed, or are being boiled or burnt to death for their meat……

Imagine your Korea ~ where the Korean people all join together to finally end this barbaric and uncivilized practice and where, instead of slaughter, they rescue, rehome, love and care for these voiceless creatures……

Imagine your Korea ~ where law makers, politicians, educators and civil servants all act to shut down, criminalise and prosecute this appalling industry and where they show genuine and long term care for these defenceless animals in their nation….

Imagine your Korea ~ where your multimillion-dollar corporations, with all their charters on social and community responsibility, improve their charters to include animal rights and welfare obligations as part of a healthy society ~ where ALL breeds of dogs (and cats) can live and be loved and cared for….

Imagine your Korea ~ where, at the 2018 Winter Olympic Games, visitors and athletes – many of whom will be animal lovers from around the world – come to your country and know that you, as a nation, have permanently shut down the dog meat trade and all associated industries, restaurants and any place where it has reared its ugly head within Korea…. Imagine………

Urgent: help keep Nami free from prosecution, so she can carry on fighting for the dogs!

Sign this petition to the South Seoul Prosecutors’ Office: Drop the defamation charges against Nami Kim!!

While trying to bring photographic evidence to the police about a blatant and illegal act of hanging dogs outside a restaurant, not only has the guilty restaurant owner got off any charges, but now the tables have turned and Nami is the one being charged by the policeman who failed to carry out his duty. This is an unfair and very tough case for Nami, particularly because the police are the ones pressing the charges. So we need to help and support her.
