The Yangpyeong massacre. In this colossal graveyard, hundreds of dogs who had lost their ability to reproduce were discarded, adding to the already countless number of starved and buried bodies. Four dogs were the last victims to be cast away into this wretched place, but they were fortunate enough to be rescued from such a tragic fate.

Pomi is the final canine survivor among the four we are introducing. Amid the piles of starved poodle and Yorkshire terrier corpses, Pomi persevered in his abhorrent situation by subsisting on nearby carcasses without access to drinking water.

Pomi, being roughly one year old, is in a critical state of health. Her body, weakened by malnutrition, requires immediate attention. Pomi’s afflictions include a dislocated hip joint and an impaired hind knee, necessitating two surgeries upon recovery. Similar to Woohyun, Pomi cannot bark due to the surgical removal of his vocal cords.

Woohyun, like Pomi, has lost the ability to bark as a result of vocal cord excision. Breeders often subject dogs to collective, stressful environments, resulting in unavoidable noise. To evade complaints from neighbors or unwanted external attention, breeders opt for vocal cord removal surgeries.

The Yangpyeong massacre has, regrettably, revealed the depths of human cruelty. However, with the support of compassionate people like you, CARE will remain committed to improving the grim circumstances these animals endure.

We have initiated the Lemon Free Project, an endeavor aimed at completely abolishing the breeding industry. Our goal is to collect 200,000 signatures in support. While the task of dismantling the breeding industry may seem daunting, it is essential to communicate a clear message with a well-defined objective to society. Commercial breeding and trading of animals are the primary causes of collective animal abuse, persistent animal abandonment, and ongoing mass euthanasia. Until animals are no longer exploited and commoditized commercially, their suffering will continue, and their societal status will remain unchanged. 🔥 마지막, 살아남은 아이 뽀미- 양평 집단 개 살해사건 ❤️‍🔥
📍20만 서명 운동 -레몬프리 프로젝트 1시작합니다📍
정말 참혹한 개무덤이 발견되었고 1500명의 번식장 개들이 폐기처분되어 끌려와 굶어죽은 현장이었습니다.
뽀미는 그 중에 살아남은 녀석입니다. 케어가 데리고 온 4 아이 중 마지막 소개하는 아이입니다. 뽀미도 4 아이처럼 아마 맨 마지막에 들어갔기 때문에 살아남았을 것입니다. 뽀미가 있는 공간은 사체가 쌓이고 쌓여 마치 둔덕처럼 변했고, 그 안에 푸들들과 요크셔테리어 종의 개들이 굶어 죽은 채 뒹굴고 있었습니다. 뽀미는 물 한방울조차 못 얻어먹었고, 사체를 뜯어먹으며 버텼습니다.
앙상한 몸. 영양실조 상태로 구조된 뽀미는 뒷다리 2개에 2가지 수술을 앞으로 해야 합니다. 뜬장에서 살아서인지 모르겠지만 어린 데도 불구하고 슬개골 탈구가 통증이 느껴질 정도이며 무릎까지 수술을 해주어야 합니다. 체력만 회복하면 바로 수술에 들어가야 합니다. 뽀미의 나이도 푸들 우현이처럼 이제 갓 1~2살 정도입니다.
뽀미는 왜 이곳에 오게 되었을까요?
우현이와 마찬가지로 뽀미도 짖을 수 없습니다. 성대를 제거 당했기 때문입니다.
📌번식장들이 성대를 제거하는 이유는 두 가지입니다.
1. 좁은 곳에 가둬만 놓기 때문에 정신적 스트레스가 매우 심각하며 이 때문에 과도한 짖음이 발생한다.
2. 집단의 동물을 사육하기 때문에 소음이 클 수밖에 없다.
3. 가정 번식장들은 더더욱 주변 민원 때문에 성대제거를 한다.
4. 불법 번식장들은 외부 노출을 차단해야 하기 때문에 성대 수술을 한다.
뽀미는 어린 데도 불구하고 나이 많은 녀석처럼 보입니다. 어려서부터 번식장에서 갖은 고생을 했기 때문일 것입니다. 질 낮은 사료를 먹으며 뜬장에서 자라서 1-2년 이후 폐기처분되어 옮겨진 곳이 굶겨 죽이는 폐가.
인간의 잔인성 그 끝을 이번 양평 집단 개 살해 사건에서 보았지만 케어는 여러분과 함께 이 지옥 같은 동물들의 현실을 개혁해 나가고 싶습니다.
동물 문제라고 해서, 동물의 입장에서 생각하지 않은 채 불가능하다고 적당히 안주하고 타협하면 이 불합리한 현실은 그저 그런 적당한 선에서 멈춰버린 채 훨씬 더 긴 시간 동물들의 고통과 착취되는 현실을 우리는 보게될 것입니다.
