3. 귀하의 질의사항에 대해 검토한 의견은 다음과 같습니다.
(농축산지원과)
가. 개 식용 금지 관련하여는 사회적인 합의 및 제도 정비가 필요한 상황이며, 우리시에서는 개 도살 관련 동물학대를 방지하기 위하여 현장지도, 단속을 지속 실시하고 있습니다.
(호평동 도시건축과)
가. 확인결과 우리 동 관할 지역 내 개농장은 확인된 시설이 없음을 알려드리며 따라서 「가축분뇨의 관리 및 이용에 관한 법률」, 「폐기물관리법」 위반사항이 없음을 알려드립니다.
(위생과)
가. 민원제기하신 내용대로 개고기를 판매하는 일반음식점 및 무신고 영업장 관련하여 안내드립니다.
나. 안타깝게도 대한민국 법령 상 개고기판매 금지는 법으로 제한할 수 없으나, 식품위생법 상 개고기 등 음식물을 제조, 가공하여 판매하는 일반음식점 중, 무신고 영업장은 지속적으로 경찰서 고발조치중이며, 영업신고 된 영업장에는 위생 점검 시 관련사항을 영업주에게 고지하고 식품위생법 관련 현장교육 및 계도 조치하여 위생에 최선을 다하고 있습니다.
다. 다시 한 번 민원제기하신 귀하께 진심으로 감사드립니다.

2. Your complaint is understood to be about “measures to be taken against dog-eating related illegal matters.
3. The answer to it is as follows.
(Agriculture and Livestock Support Department)
A. Social consensus with the improvement in legal system is needed in relation to the ban on dog-eating, and the city are continuing crackdown on it to prevent animal abuse related to dog slaughter.
(Department of urban Architecture in Hopyeong-dong)
A. As a result of the confirmation, we inform you that there are no confirmed facilities for dog farms in our area and that there are no violations of the Act on the Management and Use of Livestock Excreta and the Waste Control Act.
(Department of Hygiene)
A. We are informing you of our ongoing control on general restaurants and unreported restaurants that sell dog meat as you asked in your petition.
B. Unfortunately, the ban on the sale of dog meat cannot be limited by law in Korea, but among general restaurants that manufacture, process and sell dog meat, under the Food Sanitation Act, we are continuously filing complaints with the police against unreported businesses, and for those that registered business, we are doing our best for hygiene by informing the business owner of the relevant matters during the sanitary inspection and taking on-site training and guidance related to the Food Sanitation Act.
