[답변내용] : ○ The following is the result of our review of the petitions you filed.

○ First of all, please note that there are no illegal dog farms, slaughterhouses in Jung-gu.

○ But as the range of livestock specified in the 「Livestock Products Sanitary Control Act」, Article 2 (Definitions) and the Enforcement Decree of the 「Livestock Products Sanitary Control Act」, Article 2 (Scope of Livestock) includes cattle, horses, sheep, pigs, chickens, ducks, deer, rabbits, turkeys, geese, quails, pheasants, and donkeys; dogs are not within the range of livestock. Therefore, it is advised that the act of slaughtering, distributing, or selling a dog is not covered by the Livestock Products Sanitary Control Act.

○ 그러나「축산물 위생관리법」제2조(정의) 및 「축산물 위생관리법」시행령 제2조(가축의 범위 등)에서 규정하는 가축의 범위는 소, 말, 양, 돼지, 닭, 오리, 사슴, 토끼, 칠면조, 거위, 메추리, 꿩, 당나귀로 개는 가축의 범위에 포함되어 있지 않습니다. 따라서, 개를 도축, 유통, 판매하는 행위는 「축산물 위생관리법」의 적용 대상이 아님을 알려 드립니다.
