Campaign Update – Montgomery County, Pennsylvania responds it is NOT a Sister City to Gwanak, South Korea

We have received a response today, October 4, 2016, regarding our Sister City Campaign with the Seoul/Gwanak District, South Korea, and Montgomery County, Pennsylvania . The Director of Commerce for Montgomery County has informed us that Montgomery County does not have a Sister City connection with any international region.

Our Sister City Campaign was launched based on information from the Governors Association of Korea.

We are uncertain how this inaccurate information was streamlined to the world media. With Montgomery County confirming its nonparticipation with a Sister City, we will close our Sister City Campaign and online petition.

We extend our gratitude to Montgomery County, Pennsylvania’s leadership for responding to our petition so quickly. We also want to remind everyone of the importance of our cause and the significance of your support in speaking out against the cruelty to dogs and cats in the Seoul/Gwanak District.
