Dr.Jun was very kind to come over to the boarding kennels.
None of the dogs liked the shots, but all are now vaccinated, dewormed and tested. Thank god, all are heart worm negative. There is one Border Collie, four Tosas, three Jindos and two Nureongi (so called “meat dogs”) and more are expected soon because one Jindo girl is pregnant, due at the end of the month.
One of the seven pups is seriously ill. We Need 17 names that can give them new life…any suggestions? Names please, I’ve run out of ideas.

All sound and happy after the veterinary care.
I must say “Thank you for your generous donations, we saved these dogs together from the barbecue grill!” The funds organized by our partner Koreandogs.org came into my bank direct. So far, Giny has twice sent me the total amount $5,998 and so the vet bills and the boarding fee for this month are paid. I keep her informed of the daily expenditure and the receipts. Thank you all!

This is Champ, about a year-old Border Collie mix, such an affectionate boy. We named him “Champ” as he could be a champion in non-stop “wagging tails”. He made me smile and laugh, so happy to see all the dogs happy but this boy is so special, it’s the first time for me to save a Border Collie.

It was in total ten big dogs in the beginning, then this became eleven because the butcher of the dog barbecue house had another Jindo at the back of his living quarter hidden in between two big trees. The butcher wouldn’t surrender this dog so I used force to take her to the truck. I named her Grace as she is pregnant, due in three weeks time. I will be the midwife for her. Normally Jindo breeds give birth to seven to eight. We Will see how many more will be added to this rescue by end of the month. She is saved from the barbecue grill, now under special care with us, she is lucky and we are lucky to have her with us.
As we all know this verse, I constantly remind myself “Saving one dog won’t change the world, but surely, the whole world will change for that one dog”.

Buried a pup in my heart today
I went back to the dog barbecue house when the owner was unreachable for a few days last week. There I saw a pup which looked sick, I took her out and rushed to the vet. Jess was found parvo positive, I took her to Dr.Choi who is a specialist in parvo, but a week of his struggle to fight the virus had not paid off. Jess left peacefully yesterday 4 pm Korea time.
I buried him in our apartment garden right next to Yanni who passed in August. I see them through my window so I can whisper to them. My heart won’t break anymore, its already totally broken.
Last picture was Jess at the dog barbecue house with his mom. The six pups are back to Dr.Jun under his close observation and daily kit test.

This is Darin, She is Jess’s mom, she would not know her baby passed away. She and Jess were so close, she was licking Jess when I saw them at the dog barbecue house. Darin had another thorough health check-up again to get ready to fly to LA next week.
Everything around her must be so new, slowly exploring this new planet looking everywhere, the world she has never known before.

I still can’t get over the loss of Jess when the mom, Darin is flying to LA soon. I keep looking at this video, the first few seconds of this video is of Darin and Jess taken on my first visit to the dog barbecue house two weeks ago. I saw Darin was licking her baby Jess. Jess was a little deformed with her backbone twisted, I saw no chance of him getting adopted, so I was going to spend the rest of my life with him. I didn’t even dream of reunion of the mom and her baby Jess.

My heart breaks for the loss of Jess. I’m so sorry for your loss.
You are amazing. God bless you
