1. 안녕하십니까? 평소 군정발전에 관심을 가져주신 귀하께 깊은 감사를 드립니다.

2. 귀하께서 국민신문고를 통해 신청하신 민원에 대한 검토 결과를 다음과 같이 알려드립니다.

3. 귀하의 민원내용은 “개고기 식용 금지 및 개고기 생산을 위한 동물학대 방지 요청”으로 이해됩니다.

4. 한국에서 개식용이 오랜 기간에 걸쳐 형성되었고, 이 사항을 단기간에 해결하기에는 행정기관에서도 상당히 어려운 문제이며, 이는 범정부 차원의 정책과 사회적 합의를 통해 단계적으로 풀어가야 하는 우리나라의 숙제입니다.

5. 우리 군은 동물보호법에 관련하여 동물학대 행위 등 불법적인 사항이 신고접수 및 발견 될 경우 법적 기준에 따라 엄중한 조치를 취하고 있으며, 또한 사회적 관심도 증가에 따라 동물학대 방지를 위한 홍보도 지속적으로 강화할 것입니다.

1. Thanks for your interest in our province’s animal protection & welfare policy.

2. I would like to inform you of the result of the review of the complaint you noticed through the website.

3. Your complaint is understood as “prohibition of dog meat consumption and request for animal abuse prohibition for the production of dog meat”.

4. In Korea, eatting the dog meat custom has been formed over a long period of time, so it is not easy to resolve in a short period of time. It is one of the most challenging issues in the country to resolve and we have continuously tried to accomplish it through the policy and social consensus change at the pan-government level.

5. We also take strict legal(Animal Protection Act) action in accordance with legal standards when animal abuse is reported or found. As the social interest increases, we will continue to enhance publicity for the prevention of animal cruelty.
