Sharing for Animal Rights Korea (ARK) Shelter.

Dear Supporters,

Another month has passed, and we are here again with how the dogs are doing. And some updates on banning dog meat farms in Korea.

As said before, the dog meat industry here in Korea is declining. That’s for sure. And the farmers are not hanging onto the farm to continue the business but to use the farm to get compensation money from the government. There have been active legislative attempts to ban the whole dog meat farm business. The bill includes a grace period for the farmers until they completely shut down the farms. This grace period didn’t help to speed up the actual closure of the farms. More reasons for the farmers to hang on to the business, to take the last drop of the blood out of the dogs. It is really shameful that this has not been banned legally, but we believe it was simply not the top priority of any politicians. We are still hopeful some good changes are on the way.

Thanks to your support, they are alive. But we want to go one step further. We want to find them home.
Sadly, many dogs are still looking for a home. These adorable dogs are born to be meat and seem so unwanted even after being rescued. They are the big cuddly bears, just wanting to be the pet in the house and be next to you always. They could be just so loving. Please look through and adopt one of our dogs. Again, we will take care of all the transportation and documentation!
