가. 우리시를 포함한 한국에서의 개식용 산업은 오랜 기간에 걸쳐 형성되어진 것으로 단기간에 법으로 금지하는 것은 쉽지 않습니다. 이는 범정부 차원의 정책과 사회적 합의를 통해 점진적으로 풀어 가야하는 우리나라의 과제입니다.
나. 우리시는 동물학대 행위가 신고 될 경우 법적 기준에 따라 엄중한 조치를 취하고 있으며, 사회적 관심도 증가함에 따라 동물학대 방지 및 동물보호를 위한 홍보도 지속적으로 강화할 것입니다.
