It’s getting very cold in South Korea; today the temperature is 5 Celsius (41 Fahrenheit).🌨️ It’s especially bitter in the mountain region, where the dogs of the Lotte Dog Farm are kept.⛰️ Volunteers worked hard to repair the wire cages on another part of the farm where the dogs can temporarily stay, and this weekend the volunteers are hard at work moving them. Next week, the old wire cages will be demolished.

While the dogs were saved from being slaughtered, neither the land owner, Lotte, a large conglomerate in South Korea that allowed this dog farm to operate on their land for many years, nor the city of Incheon, is willing to offer any help to provide for these dogs. Moreover, the rescuers are burdened with having to pay the penalty imposed by the Gyeyang-gu District (city of Incheon) for not removing the dogs from the premises.

This is a sad reality in South Korea.😢🐾 Dogs rescued in large groups are not offered even temporary shelter by the government. That is why these animals so desperately need your support. Won’t you please donate whatever you can so the volunteers can continue their effort to care for as many of these poor dogs as possible? We, and those dogs, thank you for your caring and generosity.🐶🙏🐕

Also, please contact dog rescue organizations and ask them if they can help with the adoption of these dogs. Large dogs have a very slim chance of being adopted in South Korea, as most people in Korea live in apartment buildings with no yards. If they are not adopted overseas, they will live the rest of their lives in CARE’s outdoor shelters. Please help them find loving and compassionate families where they will be happy, safe, and loved. 🧡🌼 Thank you!!

🙏 Will you donate whatever you can to help with the care of these dogs?

Donations may be made through Paypal: Thank you!

👉 For an adoption inquiry, please send an email to CARE: ([email protected]) or send a message to the Facebook page of the volunteer group,

The dogs at this farm are large, mixed breed dogs and they have little chance of being adopted in South Korea. Therefore, overseas adoption is the best chance for these dogs to have a happy future after a life of fear, abuse, and suffering. Would you please appeal to international animal rescue organizations for help in finding permanent homes for them? Please click below to begin your contact with the rescue organizations in the U.S. and Canada. We have a sample letter, the contact information and the websites you can use to search rescue organizations for their email addresses.

Show compassion and empathy for suffering dogs by banning the atrocity that is the dog meat trade. Enough of this morally filthy trade in the death of humans most loving and loyal companion animal, the dog. Offer retraining for the individuals and groups involved in this cruel ‘business’. The cultural defence is not an acceptable excuse. Show some will and end this barbarous practice of the dog meat trade!

I just thought you might like to know that at least ONE “foreigner” who is shopping fro a new car shall NOT be buying a Kia nor a Hyundai, thanks to your country’s overwhelming ignorance towards eating “pets.” Oh yes…I have a LOT of friends who shall also be made aware of your dog consumption. Think they’ll be “buying South Korean?? I TRULY DOUBT IT!!
